My photographs depict places that, to the passerby, do not suggest any obvious reason to linger. Upon closer examination, these often overlooked everyday environments, anticipate an impending drama or one just missed. In each image, a tension develops between ordinary perception and ironic estrangement. I explore the vulnerability in moments of transition, in which discovery remains just out of grasp.
